Conference on Honduras

On October 11-13, 2007, Special Missions sponsored the eighth annual Conference on Honduras in Copan Ruinas, Honduras. projecthonduras.com presented the conference to discuss ways to expand support for education, healthcare, and community projects in Honduras.

More than 230 people attended the event, representing over 110 organizations, companies, agencies, churches, and universities. A total of about 52 speakers gave presentations as part of eight panels.

The Conference on Honduras is a series of annual conferences designed to bring people on the projecthonduras.com network together face-to-face to share information about their respective efforts to help the Honduran people. The idea is to find ways to improve these efforts by developing synergistic relationships with individuals and groups that share similar goals and ways of accomplishing them.

The first three conferences were held in Washington, DC. The fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh in Copan Ruinas. The ninth will again be staged in Copan Ruinas during October 2-4, 2008. For information about the Conference on Honduras 2008, click: Conference on Honduras
