Youth Scholarship

The Conference on Honduras Youth Scholarship was established on October 20, 2005. The first five scholarships were awarded on October 23, 2005 at the sixth annual Conference on Honduras. We plan to award several scholarships each year at the conference. We welcome donations to the scholarship fund so we can gradually increase the value and number of awards.

The scholarships in 2005 went to Josue David Almendarez, Olvin Funez, Cristino Hernandez, Jarvin Matute, and Marvin Soto of The Micah Project in Tegucigalpa. Each scholarship was worth $500.

The Youth Scholarship is awarded to Honduran students for excellence in academic achievement and civic leadership, and who humbly and graciously demonstrate their desire to use their knowledge, energy, and talents to help others follow in their footsteps. It has been made possible through a generous contribution by Marco Antonio Caceres Rivas, MD and Isabel di Iorio de Caceres.

The scholarship is jointly administered by projecthonduras.com and Special Missions Foundation.
